Gracegate is a community that loves God and people!  We want to honour Him and you by creating an environment where you can find friendship and explore faith.

ABOUT THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the whole Bible is God’s Word to us, which people were prompted to write by the Holy Spirit. Since the Bible is inspired by God, we believe the whole Bible is true and is relevant to our lives.

ABOUT GOD

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the second member of the Trinity; He became a man to reveal God to man and to become the Saviour to the lost world.

ABOUT HUMANITY

We believe that all people are created in God’s image to have a relationship with Him, but became distanced from that close relationship because of disobedience and rebellion. As a result, people are incapable of forming a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that Jesus died on the cross and was raised to life again – this means that we have complete salvation when we accept Jesus as our Saviour and have been forgiven.

ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

By reading and obeying the Word of God and growing your friendship with God, every believer can mature and find meaning in life.

ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe that the church are those people who choose God. The purpose of the church is to honour God by loving Him and by making Him known to the world.

ABOUT THE FUTURE

We believe that Jesus will return and that we will enjoy an endless future together with Him, in a place where sin, hurt and death will no longer exist.

BELONGING

Gracegate is safe, inviting, welcoming and warm-hearted. Diversity and uniqueness are celebrated. In response to God’s unconditional love and unending forgiveness, you can relax and come as you are, knowing that you are enough! No perfect people. We are all in it together, without judgment, where we at the very least are willing to work on our own prejudices, assumptions and preconceived ideas, treating one another with dignity, respect, inclusion and love.

DISCOVERING

We thrive on exploration with purpose, on finding out, not knowing. We may think we already know lots about God, or we may only be beginning our faith journey… We learn from each other or by ourselves. We can be guided when we need to be, or self-directed when that works. God may be constant, but our understanding of Him should always be expanding.

ENGAGING

This is all about connecting and serving; it’s the action that goes with the heart. It would be different for different people; it respects gifts, talents, temperaments and interests, whether an individual or a group. It’s about contribution and expressing caring!
