Deadly

09 October 2021 - 20 November 2021

The "Seven Deadly Sins" represent human depravity. They are deceptive. They destroy our relationships with each other and most importantly, with God. In this series, we uncover what sin is, how it distorts what matters most, what that could cost us, and ultimately why it doesn’t disqualify us, but rather makes us the perfect candidate for the love and grace of God.

Sloth

06 November 2021   |   Wesley Lorentz
You don't have to DO anything wrong, in order to struggle with sloth - that's why it's so deceptive, so destructive, so deadly. It's not about doing something "wrong" - it's about not doing anything at all.

Anger distracts us. Anger infects us. Anger is contagious. How do we take this deadly sin and bring it under submission and how does Jesus enable us to do so?

Lust

20 November 2021   |   Wesley Lorentz
Lust starts from a God-given desire. But sin has taken something that was good and warped it and misapplied it, in a way that God never intended it to be. We pursue lust thinking that this will satisfy, but it always leaves us in a place, robbed from what we truly want. Lust changes the way we think. Lust distorts what’s real. Lust poisons what’s pure. Lust objectifies people. Lust dishonours God.
