Grounded

Why is it that even though I know what is good for me, and I genuinely want what’s good for me, I still don’t change?

Sometimes we go through seasons where we feel buried beneath the burdens of life… there are times where nothing seems to be getting better. We spend months buried by circumstances and what may have been a temporary situation, starts to feel more like a grave. But buried isn’t broken. Take courage. God has a long history of bringing life to situations where things appear long dead and buried.

A branch removed from its source may appear alright for a while, but ultimately it will waste away and die… What does it mean to experience real, intentional spiritual growth? What needs to happen in us, in order for growth to happen? How do we remain spiritually connected, even when pruning happens?

God is faithful and He is doing work inside each of us, even when we don’t see progress. But there is a part that we also play in this relationship and its growth. How do I approach God when I fall short? God is not waiting for the finished version of you. God would love to walk in closer proximity to you in your current season than you are allowing Him to.
