Shame

05 February 2022   |   Megan Jones
Guilt says, “What I did was bad.” Shame says, “What I am is bad.” Shame makes us hide from God instead of run towards Him. Your shame might tell you that there is no way forward. But God says He has created you for a plan and a purpose, that He has given you hope and a future. Your shame might make you afraid. But God says He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self control. Your shame might tell you that you can do nothing right. But God says that He can work ALL things together for good. Your shame might tell you that you can never be close to God. But God says, come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.
